Responsibility – Healthy Waters

The Healthy Waters department is responsible for and leads all development of the management tool programme (inclusive of services, products and operational tools – e.g., NDCalculator).

Intellectual Property

Intellectual property developed by the management tool programme is owned by Auckland Council.

Intellectual property is available for use, internally and externally of Auckland Council, including regions outside of Auckland.

Healthy Waters is available to help support broader use of either FWMT Stage 1, supporting models, typologies, datasets and/or programme intellectual property in other applications across New Zealand.

Healthy Waters is a responsible broker for intellectual property – making requests of and alerting the Department prior to intellectual property usage creates opportunities to ensure broader applications deliver you value and are defensible.
