Utilities and storage Print

Introduction

Car parking areas often share space with service areas, storage units, bicycle racks and bin storage facilities. Incorporating these functions into the design of a carpark will improve the day to day operation of a building and the experience of its occupants.

Failing to consider these practicalities can lead to unpleasant outcomes, such as foul odours and unsightly mess due to poorly placed waste disposal facilities, or pedestrian access ways and vehicle parking being blocked by waste bins. Retroactively amending these issues can be costly and litigious.
